Entropy, an atmospheric puzzle platformer with some horror elements, where the player explores an alien ruin in an abandoned world. Traverse using alien contraptions and navigate through the unknown.

These are some of my contributions to our Second Game project at PlaygroundSquad. Our team of 4 designers, 5 programmers and 7 artists made this game possible in a period of 9 weeks.
I mainly worked on set dressing and some environment props during the project.

I am so lucky to have worked with such a talented team, and we still don't believe we got 3 nominations and 2 awards at SGA New Talent 2025
Our nominations were for Best Technology, Best Visuals, and Game of the Year, and we were so excited when we won for:

During this project I found it challenging to work on such a dark environment, but it was a main part of the game as you lit your way through shooting light orbs from an alien like artifact you found. When set dressing, I got some concepts and blockouts for how to the level would be played, and then I searched for references and started set dressing in Unreal Engine. I had to think on how the light orbs would interact with the walls and objects around you. We wanted the player to feel small and frightened by the massive and alien world around them. It was difficult to make the player understand where they could go when the environment was just pitch black, and somehow guide it to where they were supposed to go.
With constant play testing and feedback we manage to get the right balance between keeping it difficult enough, but still fun to play!
